E.C.A Policy & Procedure

  • Assembly hall will now be used a ECA venue therefore parents Currently 6 teacher-led ECAs per day (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) – therefore:
  • Parents must vacate the hall by 2.40pm
  • Parents to wait in reception until 3.30pm to collect
  • Inclusion team will provide cover for staff and reception absence
  • 3 LSA have not been allocated a club – they will help as required, provide cover and monitor the registers.
  • Numbers are limited therefore in first instance 2 clubs per child – if clubs not at capacity, further 1 club option will be opened for booking

Cancellation / Withdrawal Procedure

  • Parents are committing to the clubs booked so therefore must inform class teacher and reception if withdrawing so as to allow someone else the opportunity.
  • If a child is present in school but parent cancels more than 2 sessions of an ECA, they will be asked to withdraw from the club – especially if it is over-subscribed with a waiting list.
  • Late collection (after 3.35) – 3 strikes rule
  • Children walking / cycling home from club – check parental consent form and they wear their tag.
  • Cancelling – cut off time 2.15pm
    • 1. Reception notified
    • 2. Reception to notify class teacher, ECA teacher, Pratap
    • 3. PARENT MUST contact the school via email / class dojo / telephone to cancel booking – message from child is not suffice

Registers

  • External ECAs to email their register at the latest the morning of their ECA
  • Online Excel will have all registers that will be updated by reception for known absences and then the ECA teacher / LSA. As absences should be recorded and further absences can be investigated quickly.
  • Children with permission to walk / cycle home will need their tags before going to ECA so ECA teacher aware.
