E-Safety Transition Workshop

E-Safety Transition Workshop

At Dove Green Private School, we believe that preparing our students for the future goes beyond academics. As children begin to interact more frequently with the digital world through social media, artificial intelligence, and online platforms, it’s crucial they do so with guidance, awareness, and safety.

On Wednesday, 7 May 2025, we welcomed the parents of our Year 5 and 6 students to our E-Safety Transition Workshop, a focused and informative session designed to support families during this pivotal stage.

The workshop explored key topics such as:

  • Understanding the impact of social media on young minds

  • Recognising online risks and setting healthy digital boundaries

  • Introducing the role of AI and emerging technologies in children’s lives

  • Encouraging responsible and respectful digital behaviour

  • Building open communication between parents and children about internet use

Through this session, parents gained practical tools and insights to help their children navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital world with confidence, particularly as they prepare to transition into secondary school.

We thank all the parents who participated and contributed to the discussion. Your involvement is vital in ensuring our students not only thrive academically, but also grow into responsible, informed digital citizens.

At Dove Green, we remain committed to working in partnership with families to foster safe, supportive, and future-ready learning environments.
