I have been teaching for about 11 years now after graduating from the University of Plymouth (UK) with BEd (Hons) Primary with PE specialism.
During this time, I have taught in every year group across KS2. For 6 years, before moving to Dubai, I worked at a local primary school where was given a mixture of responsibilities: PE and History coordinator as well as Year group leader in Year 4.
I have worked at Dove Green Private School for 3 years. I have had the pleasure to teach some of the eldest members of the school in this time: Years 5 and 6. I always try and make learning fun for all and motivating in many different ways. I build positive working relationships with all my students to help get the best out of them so they can build their confidence and become independent learners ready for the next stage in their education.
During my time at Dove Green Private School, I have led the Eco committee for the school and am now Maths Subject Leader for the school, managing the curriculum, teaching and learning responsibilities that Maths brings. I have always enjoyed Maths and I am passionate about making sure that all students enjoy and understand their Maths.
When I am not working, I like to keep active, enjoying a variety of sports such as field hockey and yoga. I also enjoy being creative with a bit of drawing or creating pieces of artwork through origami and quilling.
