All About Miss Banares
Mrs. Bañares holds degrees in Psychology and Secondary Education specializing in Moral Education from her home country, the Philippines. After successfully obtaining her secondary teaching license in 2014, she taught in a private high school before joining an ESL (English as a Second Language) school in her hometown. There, she had students of all ages—mostly Japanese as well as learners from various nationalities across Southeast Asia for four years, both offline and online.
This diverse teaching experience led her to become a valued member of the ELL Team. Mrs. Bañares is adept at simplifying complex concepts so students can develop their English language skills and confidence in learning, ensuring that every child can access the curriculum and reach their fullest potential. She takes great pride in seeing her students grow in confidence, improve their communication skills, and become more independent learners.
When asked what she loves most about Dove Green, Mrs. Bañares says, “I love the school’s inclusivity and academic teaching excellence.”
Fun Fact: Mrs. Bañares grew up with dogs and believes she’s a dog whisperer who can tame
even the fiercest canine!
