All About Mr. Hyland
Originally from Newcastle in the United Kingdom, Mr. Hyland brings over a decade of experience in education, having taught and led in schools across Birmingham, Sharjah, and Dubai. He has proudly called the UAE home for nearly eight years, during which he has developed a wealth of leadership expertise in some of the region’s most dynamic school communities.
With almost ten years in senior leadership and having earned the National Professional Qualification for Headship, Mr. Hyland is passionate about helping others thrive. His core belief is that when we set people up for success, we create the conditions for everyone to confidently reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Mr. Hyland enjoys playing football, going to the gym, trying to play golf, and spending quality time with his family.
As Assistant Principal at DGPS, he is thrilled to be part of the school community and looks forward to building strong relationships, inspiring a love of learning, and supporting every member of the school, both students and staff, to achieve their very best.
Fun Fact: Mr. Hyland learned how to ski in Dubai – imagine moving to the desert and learning how to ski!
