All About Jason Hirst
Jason joins Dove Green with over a decade of experience in teaching, senior leadership, and public service. A former police officer with West Yorkshire Police, England, Jason brings a calm, structured, and highly disciplined approach to leadership. He is currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), further strengthening his leadership expertise.
Jason is a committed and strategic leader, focused on delivering high-quality teaching and learning for all students. As Head of Secondary at Al Rabeeh Academy (2023–2025), he led the school to an ADEK “Very Good” rating, oversaw the academy’s best-ever GCSE and A-Level results, and expanded student enrolment. His leadership has driven curriculum innovation, pastoral reform, and a cultural shift to a Behaviour for Learning model and strengthening student support and leadership.
Previously, as Vice Principal and Head of College at The Mirfield Free Grammar, Jason doubled sixth-form enrolment and launched a nationally recognised mental health programme. His work on curriculum and quality assurance significantly improved value-added outcomes.
With experience as Head of Science in multiple schools, Jason consistently improved outcomes through strong curriculum design, assessment strategy, and team development.
