All About Miss Burgess.
This is Miss Burgess’ first year at Dove Green and her first year teaching in the UAE. Miss Burgess completed her degree in Primary Education with QTS at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln, United Kingdom in 2018 and has been teaching ever since. Miss Burgess has worked at three schools in the UK and has focused her career on the improvement of Reading and Writing across the Primary Curriculum- rewriting the English Curriculum for her previous school in Manchester and achieving their best results since opening. In the past three years, Miss Burgess has completed two National Professional Qualifications focusing on the Leadership of Literacy and more recently, her senior Leadership course.
Miss Burgess is excited to Lead Year 5 and the English Curriculum at Dove Green, bringing her passion for reading, writing, and a progressive, engaging curriculum to life. She aims to bring learning to life in fun and engaging ways to help children to become driven, passionate lifelong learners.
When asked, what is the best thing about Dove Green? Miss Burgess replies: ‘It has to be, being part of a supportive team that lifts each other up every day, surrounded by children whose motivation and joy make every moment meaningful.
