Yesterday, eight of our talented Year 6 students proudly represented Dove Green Private School at a dynamic inter-school debating competition hosted by Victory Heights. Competing against eight schools from across Dubai, each team took on the role of a different country, tackling critical global issues linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our students represented South Africa, diving deep into how the nation addresses sustainability, the challenges it faces, and innovative solutions for a better future. With thoughtful research, clear arguments, and confident delivery, our team impressed both the audience and the judges with their insight and creativity.
We are thrilled to share that out of all participating schools, only three awards were presented and DGPS won the award for Creative Solutions! This recognition is a testament to our students’ hard work, critical thinking, and excellent teamwork.
We couldn’t be prouder of how our students conducted themselves throughout the event. Their maturity, collaboration, and passion for global issues truly stood out, making this an unforgettable and inspiring experience for all involved.
