Scholarship Categories
Academic Merit Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence beyond classroom expectations.
Eligibility:
- Top-performing students based on international benchmarks
- Must exceed CAT4 expectations (not just achieving the highest class score)
Assessment Criteria:
- School reports and assessment data
- Student statement
- Teacher references
Renewal Conditions:
- Subject to annual review
- Students must:
- Maintain high academic performance
- Demonstrate conduct aligned with DGPS values and expectations
Talent Scholarship
Recognising students with outstanding abilities in sports, performing arts, or creative arts.
Eligibility:
- Proven excellence at national or international level (beyond school-level achievements)
Assessment Criteria:
- Portfolio or documented evidence
- Audition or trial performance
- Character and performance references
Renewal Conditions:

Leadership & Service Award
Celebrating students who make a meaningful impact through leadership and community contribution.
Eligibility:
- Demonstrated leadership within school, community, or wider UAE society
Assessment Criteria:
- Leadership portfolio

- Staff reference
Renewal Conditions:
- Ongoing leadership involvement
- Continued contribution aligned with DGPS values
Emirati Student Scholarship
Supporting UAE Nationals in alignment with national priorities and initiatives.
Eligibility:
- Open to Emirati students

- Annual review based on:
- Engagement
- Alignment with school values and expectations

Application Date:
- Scholarships Application start date: April 2026
- Scholarships Application Close date: 29 May 2026
Key Milestones:
- June 2026: Assessment and scholarship offers
- End June 2026: Acceptance deadline
- July–August 2026: Final allocations
- October 2026: Scholarship review outcomes
Selection & Governance
- All applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
- Awards are highly selective, with:
- Scholarships capped at 5% of the student population
- Scholarships may be combined with other fee discounts, and:
- This is the only scenario where total fee reduction may exceed 25%
