All About Miss Daisy Hunt
Mrs. Hunt joined Dove Green in 2025 from Abu Dhabi, as Head of Year 6 and Year 6 class teacher.
Mrs. Hunt attended the University of Southampton, achieving a 1st Class Honours Degree in Psychology with Neuroscience. She then attended the University of Exeter where she gained her Primary Post Graduate Certificate of Education (with a specialism in the Sciences). Mrs Hunt has been a qualified teacher for 10 years and has worked in both the UK Private sector and the UAE. In the UK, Mrs Hunt spent 7 years teaching in a leading private school in a variety of roles both academic and pastoral. Making the move to the UAE in 2022, Mrs. Hunt has been Head of Year 6 for a number of years and is particularly passionate about developing student’s leadership skills, confidence and independence during their final year of Key Stage 2, to ensure they have the skills required to embark on their senior years of education. Mrs. Hunt has taught a range of Year groups from Year 2 through to Year 9 and has a strong knowledge of the transitions between Key Stages and experience helping both students and parents navigate these.
Mrs. Hunt also has a keen interest in performing Arts and has choreographed and directed a number of School Productions and is committed to producing an inclusive environment where every student receives opportunities to challenge themselves and find enjoyment in their learning. Mrs. Hunt has introduced and led various initiatives in her middle leadership roles, including an adaptive teaching initiative which ensures that teachers adapt to the live teaching moments within class, maximising student engagement and learning potential in every lesson.
When asked “What is the best thing about Dove Green?”
Mrs Hunt replies: Walking around the school and seeing so many happy children, who love to learn! They are the centre of why I became a teacher and they make my day, every day.
Did you know?
Mrs. Hunt used to play Netball for the England Academy in her younger years. She stopped playing competitively when she was studying to become a Teacher so that she could focus on inspiring and helping the next generation fulfil their own dreams.
