Professional Background
Mrs Copelin is delighted to be joining Dove Green Private School following her recent move to Dubai. She brings with her 15 years of experience teaching Drama across both primary and secondary education in the UK, having worked in a diverse range of educational settings.
Mrs Copelin holds a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance from the University of Plymouth, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Cardiff Metropolitan University. She is passionate about providing students with creative and inspiring opportunities to develop their confidence and love of the performing arts.
My Teaching Philosophy
“I believe in the power of creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel confident to explore, experiment and take creative risks, knowing they will be supported and guided throughout their learning journey. My Drama lessons are fun, warm and playful, while being underpinned by purposeful learning, high expectations and a strong focus on developing each student’s skills. I strive to create a classroom where students feel safe to express themselves, challenge their own limitations and develop the confidence to perform to the best of their ability.”

Outside the Classroom
Outside the classroom, Mrs Copelin enjoys spending quality time with her two children and her much-loved dog. She has a passion for reading, long walks and travelling, and particularly enjoys discovering new places, experiencing different cultures and exploring the world with her family.
