All About Mrs. Pollitt
Mrs. Pollitt has been teaching at Dove Green for Five Years.
Mrs. Pollitt completed her degree in Building Management, Design and Construction at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, entering a career in Building Control for local government in the UK. In 2012, she entered the classroom as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant at a large international school in Qatar. Following training in Additional Educational Needs, Primary P.E. and qualifying as a swimming teacher, and after 4 years working in Qatar, she moved to U.A.E. Here she completed her PGCE at the University of Buckingham in 2018 whilst working as an Early Years Teacher at an international school in Ajman, transferring to Dove Green in 2020.
Having also taught in FS1, FS2 and Year 3, Mrs. Pollitt remains passionate about early childhood development, with a natural passion for Maths, Science and Literacy and, as such, continues to support our youngest learners, providing them with the skills needed to be well-rounded individuals and lifelong learners.
When asked, what is the best thing about Dove Green? Mrs. Pollitt replies: ‘Working with like-minded professionals, who keep the child at the heart of everything we do – working at Dove Green feels like home.’
