All About Mrs Baker

Professional Background
Mrs Baker is entering her seventh year of teaching at DGPS. Originally from Ireland, she moved to Oman in 2004 before relocating to Dubai in 2011. Throughout her teaching career, she has worked from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2 and is passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences where all children feel supported, challenged and empowered to thrive.
Mrs Baker holds a BA and Higher Diploma in Education (HDE) in Geography and Mathematics from University College Cork. With a particular passion for Mathematics, she is committed to helping children develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning while reaching their full potential.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe every child can succeed and become the best version of themselves. I aim to help children reach their full potential by creating a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom where they feel valued and supported. By promoting respect, kindness and honesty, I encourage confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

Outside the Classroom
Outside of school, Mrs Baker enjoys spending time with her three sons and supporting their many activities. Rugby is a big part of family life and she is actively involved in her local rugby club. She also enjoys reading, travelling and creating special memories with family and friends
