All About Miss Lokat
Role: Year 3 Teacher
Started at DGPS: August 2025
Miss Lokat is delighted to be entering her second year at Dove Green Private School and is looking forward to another exciting academic year as part of the DGPS community. Miss Lokat completed her degree in Primary Education with QTS at Birmingham City University and graduated in 2019. Since then, she has taught across a range of year groups, including Years 1, 2, 4 and 5, in primary schools around Birmingham before moving to Dubai.
Miss Lokat is passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels welcome, supported and confident to succeed. Her teaching philosophy is centered around building strong relationships, encouraging curiosity and helping children develop independence, resilience and a love of learning. She believes that children learn best when they feel safe, valued and excited to take on new challenges.
In the classroom, Miss Lokat enjoys making learning meaningful, engaging and relevant to everyday life. She encourages children to ask questions, think critically and take pride in their progress, no matter how big or small. Outside of the classroom, Miss Lokat enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her two children also attend Dove Green and are very happy to be part of the school community.
When asked what she is most looking forward to this year, Miss Lokat replies:
“I am really looking forward to continuing my journey at Dove Green, building strong relationships with my new class and helping every child feel confident, happy and ready to succeed.”
