All About Mrs Parums

Originally from Cheshire in the UK, Mrs Parums has worked in education in both the UK and Dubai, gaining extensive experience across teaching and senior leadership within British education. She holds a BMus (Hons) Music degree, a PGCE from the University of Chester and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). She is also an ICF-trained coach, reflecting her passion for developing others and building successful, positive teams.

At the heart of Mrs Parums’ approach to education is a belief that children thrive when they feel safe, valued and believed in. She is passionate about creating an environment where children are happy and confident, with high expectations that encourage every child to discover their strengths, embrace challenge and develop the self-belief to achieve their full potential.

As Primary Principal at Dove Green Private School, Mrs Parums places great importance on relationships and community. She believes that the strongest schools are built through genuine partnerships between children, families and staff, and that academic success should sit alongside developing kind, curious and resilient children who are determined in their learning, positive in their approach and able to think beyond themselves and the world around them.

Developing others is also an important part of Mrs Parums’ leadership. Through her experience as a school leader and coach, she believes in leading with empathy, listening to and understanding others, while maintaining high expectations and a clear focus on continuous improvement. She is committed to creating a culture where staff feel trusted, supported and empowered to grow, recognising that investing in people ultimately creates the best possible experiences and outcomes for children.

Having led the Primary phase since 2022, Mrs Parums has been privileged to see the school and its community evolve. As DGPS continues to develop, she is committed to ensuring that the strong sense of togetherness that makes the school special remains at its heart, bringing the school’s ethos of Learning Together, Growing Together to life for every child, family and member of staff.

As a mum to two young daughters, Mrs Parums also understands first-hand the importance of the trust families place in a school each day. This further strengthens her commitment to ensuring that DGPS is a place where every child feels happy and has a genuine sense of belonging, and where families feel truly part of their child’s educational journey.
