I have been a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Dove Green Private School since August 2016, and am very proud to have been part of the school’s early development and growth over that time.
My career with children began in 1984 when I trained and qualified as a Nursery Nurse (NNEB) and worked with pre-school children in a variety of settings, including four years working with students of determination. I moved into education, employed as a class LSA and as a 1:1 LSA and then, 13 years ago, I went back to University and retrained as a teacher. I attained my B.Ed. (hons) in Education Studies at the University of Buckinghamshire, and QTS through the GTP in Milton Keynes.
Prior to moving to Dubai, I taught in UK schools for 6 years, teaching in FS, Year 1 and Year 5, and held positions of FS Leader, Key stage 2 leader, English Leader and Healthy Schools Leader over that time.
I have now been teaching in Dubai for almost 7 years with the initial three years working at a large international school. There, I spent two years teaching in Year 1 and one year in Year 2, and held positions of English leader and Year 2 leader.
I am extremely proud to continue my journey with Dove Green School; refining my role, working with a very skilled group of teachers and support staff and look forward to providing ongoing support for you and your children.
