All About Miss Donnelly
Miss Donnelly has been teaching at Dove Green Private School for two years.
Miss Donnelly has been teaching for 10 years. She completed her Primary teaching PGCE at Leeds Beckett University in 2015 and followed this with 3 years teaching in the UK. She then moved to Dubai for the opening of The Arbor School and taught there for 5 years, followed by 2 years teaching in DGPS. In her teaching career, she has taught Year 1 and Year 2 and is keen to make learning engaging and fun for all children. Miss Donnelly is keen to create a stimulating environment where all children have an opportunity to explore and investigate in their own way to build knowledge, language, and friendships. She has experience in leading phonics and reading across FS and KS1, incorporating reading and writing throughout the curriculum. One of Miss Donnelly’s favourite times of the day is story time, and her favourite book is We’re Going on a Bear Hunt!
Another of Miss Donnelly’s greatest passions is dancing and musical theatre. After dancing for many years, she now loves to share this enthusiasm with children which helps them to grow in confidence, learn something new and of course, to have fun. She is so excited to be part of the musical theatre team and really enjoyed creating Matilda with the team last year!
When asked, what is the best thing about Dove Green? Miss Donnelly replies: Dove Green is a wonderful community to be a part of! The staff, children and parents are all so welcoming and the school is truly centered around the children.
Did you know? Miss Donnelly has a little Maltese dog called Minnie and she is 5 years old!
