All About Ms.Laura Smith

Miss Laura Smith is a dedicated Primary PE teacher, originally from Scotland. She holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from Aberdeen University, an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and a PGCEi in Education from John Moore’s University, Liverpool.

Before transitioning into education, Miss Smith spent 15 years working as a nutritionist and personal trainer in Scotland and Dubai. This extensive experience in health and fitness has greatly influenced her teaching approach, allowing her to bring a wealth of practical knowledge and a holistic perspective on wellness to her students.

With a strong academic background and a passion for physical education, Miss Smith has also had the honour of representing Scotland in hockey at both the national and international levels. Her professional journey is guided by a deep commitment to health and wellness, which she actively promotes in her teaching.

Outside the classroom, Miss Smith enjoys fitness, cooking, and cherishes the time spent with her three nephews and two nieces. She is also an avid reader and enjoys sharing a good cup of coffee with friends. Her love for travel further enriches her life, bringing diverse experiences that she integrates into her teaching philosophy.

Miss Smith is passionate about inspiring her students to lead healthy, active lives, and she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as a PE teacher.

Fun Fact: Miss Smith has an impressive collection of coffee mugs from around the world, each one representing a different place she’s visited—she even has a mug from a tiny café in Paris!
