My name is Mrs. Kara Doherty. I am from a small town called Glengormley which is in the North of Ireland. I have been working in education in Dubai for one and half years, and all of my qualifications are from the UK Education system – my degree in Anatomy was attained from Queen’s University, Belfast and my Masters Degree in Forensic Science and Biological Anthropology is from Bournemouth University. My PGCE was attained at Nottingham University.
I am very much looking forward to meeting my new class in September. My aim is to inspire all children within my class, helping them become independent and critical thinkers. By providing these students with a rich learning environment I will endeavour to meet their needs and interests, upon which they can develop and build a solid foundation, in education and beyond.
In my free time, I am committed to personal health and wellbeing, and enjoy regular exercise and classes at the gym. I am also a keen netball player, representing two teams in Dubai.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children over the school year.
