Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Vowles and I will be your child’s teacher next year. I am really excited to be working in FS1 at Dovecote Green and very much looking forward to getting to know you and your children.
I am originally from Bath, U.K and I have been working here at Dubai British School for three years.
I went to the University of the West of England where I completed my degree in Cultural and Media studies BA Hons. At this time, I worked as a T.V extra on the series ‘Casualty’ and ‘Teachers’ which was extremely fun!
I then became a real teacher for 15 years teaching English as a foreign language in London and some amazing countries such as Pakistan and U.S.A. Before I came to Dubai I worked in an autism provision as a Learning Support Assistant until I completed my PGCE at the University of Nottingham.
I moved to Dubai in 2015 with my two children. We have relished travelling throughout the region particularly camping in the mountains of Oman. At weekends you will find me at the beach or horse riding with my daughter.
I am passionate about art, music and gardening so be prepared, the children and I will be getting messy and creative! Our classroom will be a safe and positive environment where we can explore all the exciting new challenges in FS1 together.
