All About Mrs. Hussain

Mrs Hussain was born and bred in the beautiful hills of Yorkshire where she studied BSc Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leeds. She then went on to complete her PGCE in Secondary Science in her nearby hometown of Bradford.

Her International teaching career started soon after this, and in 2019, she began teaching in Abu Dhabi in both British and IB curriculum schools before moving to Dubai in 2021. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and is ADEK Makerspace trained which further enhances her students’ practical application in the classroom. It was in the UAE where she was able to blossom as an effective practitioner – in the richness, friendliness and variety of the Middle-Eastern culture which was the making of her personally and professionally.

She strongly believes that education does not start and end in the classroom, and prides herself on her nurturing element and her ability to form effective and meaningful relationships to get the best out of those around her. She has a passion for not just Science but also Art – having taught this to KS3 at Dove Green Private School, side-by-side with the Sciences throughout 2021. She has held various creative and artistic ECA activities throughout the year which have proved to be popular and enjoys organising and running school trips which further provide enriching experiences for students.

When asked what is the best thing about Dove Green, Mrs. Hussain replies:

Without a doubt, it is being part of a wider community of colleagues, students, parents and friends alike which makes teamwork seamless and working so enjoyable.

Fun Fact: Mrs Hussain have bungee-jumped in 8 locations around the world!
