All About Dr. Fadi
Dr. Fadi Bayoud is a strategic management professional with over 20 years of experience. Currently, he is the Deputy Director for the EPFL Middle East, a world leading University whose main campus is in Lausanne, Switzerland.
His previous work concentrated on advising companies on how to adapt to the 21st century complexity and how to overcome its disruptive nature by adopting modern thinking, processes, and technologies. Throughout his career, he assumed roles in academia, R&D, product management, marketing and business development, and project management at end-user; thus, making him aware of the entire life cycle of business solutions and processes.
Fadi has developed strategic management advisory solutions for engineering firms, and to less extent to educational institutes. He has advised several CxO’s on how to strategically transform, navigate disruption, and succeed in the future.
Fadi’s activities are not limited to business; his latest project was with UNDP’s Arab Youth Leadership Programme, where he participated in selecting 35 Arab youths, and in developing and delivering a course for them on Foresight and Futures Thinking.
Dr. Fadi has two master degrees and a PhD in engineering from Greece (1999), Canada (2001), and EPFL Switzerland (2006), respectively. He went through an Executive Development Programme at INSEAD (2017) and Project Management Certificate at Columbia University (2017). Recently, he obtained an MBA at Strathclyde Business School (Glasgow, UK) with specialisation in Strategic Management (2020).
Vision for the school going forward:
To be a frontrunner in 1) adopting 21st century teaching methods, and in 2) imparting learners with dynamic skills that help them navigate safely when faced with the unknown challenges of the future.
