All About Miss. Bennett

Miss. Bennett is from Gibraltar; she then moved to England and gained her four-year degree in primary teaching with a specialist in inclusion at the University of Cumbria. Throughout this time, she would have several placements every year where she would further develop her teaching skills. She then worked a year in supply and had a range of experiences but fell in love with a 1:1 role with a learner with autism. Miss. Bennett then decided to move to Sharjah in 2019 and completer her NQT year, two years later she became head of primary and foundation science. She was then ready for her next adventure at Dove Green!

Miss. Bennett believes that classroom culture is very important, in her classroom she creates a set of high expectations with a fair approach. She likes to make sure that children feel safe and happy whilst having fun and interactive learning. Miss. Bennett also things using technology safely and effectively is a main part of being a 21st century teacher. Miss. Bennett’s main passions would include inclusion and science, she is eager to take part in and help support these during her time at Dove Green. Miss. Bennett’s classroom will be a place where learning is clearly celebrated and children are excited for their day ahead.

When asked what is the best thing about Dove Green, Miss. Bennett replies: As soon as I walked into Dove Green everyone was so happy and welcoming from the security staff to the reception staff. The teachers were all very positive and the learners were friendly and ready to learn. There was a celebration for people who had been fasting for Ramadan which I thought was a lovely idea to end the holy month.

Fun Fact: Miss. Bennett loves to swim and be in water; she is a certified scuba diver and loves anything related to the ocean.
