All About Miss McMath

Miss McMath has been teaching at Dove Green Private School for five years.

Having completed a three-year Primary Education degree at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2013, she started her teaching career in a primary school in Kent in the south of England where she was a year four class teacher and head of PE. Miss McMath taught in the UK for the first four years of her teaching career before moving to Dubai in the summer of 2017 and joining the Dove Green team.  Since joining Dove Green, she has taught in both year four and year six. Initially she was head of English in Key Stage 2 before becoming head of Key Stage 2 two years ago. Miss McMath has now completed nine years as a class teacher and this year will be taking on a new, out of class role as an Assistant Head while remaining Head of KS2.

Vision for KS2 going forward:

Miss McMath is passionate about providing the students in her Key Stage with a quality education and feels very lucky to have a wonderful team of teachers in Key Stage 2 who promote a love of learning by inspiring, motivating and engaging a future generation of learners. “At Dove Green, we pride ourselves on encouraging every child to reach their full potential. Our teachers are constantly challenging children’s thinking in new ways through engaging and stimulating lessons; helping them think outside the box and question things more thoroughly.” Miss McMath wants the students in our school to be passionate about their learning and understand the importance of lifelong education.

When asked what the best thing is about Dove Green, Miss. McMath replies: Our students. The wonderful students at Dove Green make it what it is. They are always eager to learn, polite, enthusiastic and well-mannered. They are the ones who make my job worthwhile every day.

Fun Fact

When Miss McMath was younger, she entered a poetry writing competition for Utterly Butterly (a UK butter brand) and won a jacuzzi!
