I graduated from Strathclyde University in Scotland in 1998 with a Bed Hons degree in Primary Education. I then taught in London for 2 years before moving overseas. I taught in Kuwait in a British School for 4 years and was also literacy coordinator. My next position was in Oman in a bilingual school where I specialized in EAL and SEN support. I then moved from the Middle East to China for 2 years where I was Year 6 coordinator in a British School in Shanghai. Then I had a short spell in Cyprus working in a new school. I have been in Dubai for 8 and a half years and I taught in an IB school here for over 7 years. I have experience in every age group, from FS1 to Year 6. In 2010, I completed my Masters in Education.
I am married with 2 young sons. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love travelling and exploring new places. My hobbies are running and reading, although I don’t get to read as many books as I used to!
I am delighted to do supply at Dovecote. I am passionate about
teaching and supporting children on their school journey. I love the fact that Dovecote is a community school and I enjoy going into lots of different classes and getting to know all of the children in the school.
