All About Miss Bennett
Miss Bennett is from Gibraltar; she then moved to England and gained her four-year degree in primary teaching with a specialist in inclusion at the University of Cumbria. Throughout this time, she would have several placements every year where she would further develop her teaching skills. She then worked a year in supply and had a range of experiences but fell in love with a 1:1 role with a learner with autism. Georgina then decided to move to Sharjah in 2019 and completed her NQT year. Two years later, she became Head of Science. She was then ready for her next adventure at Dove Green!
This is Mrs Bennett’s 3rd year at Dove Green. She joined as a Year 4 Teacher. However, this year she is becoming the Art and Design Specialist. Mrs Bennett is really excited for her new role and has lots of plans for exciting and creative lessons.
Mrs Bennett believes in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to take creative risks and explore their artistic potential. She emphasizes the importance of both conceptual thinking and technical proficiency, guiding students to create meaningful and impactful art.
When asked, what is the best thing about Dove Green? Miss Bennett replies:
‘As soon as I walked into Dove Green everyone was so happy and welcoming, from the security staff to the reception staff. The teachers were all very positive and the learners were friendly and ready to learn.’ Mrs Bennett loves the direction of the school and watching the growth of Dove Green.
