All About Mervat Fiad

Mrs Mervat was born and bred in a fascinating coastal city of Syria were she grew up and studied science of education at Tishreen University.  
 
Her teaching career had started soon after graduation, and in 2021 she began her international teaching in Abu Dhabi- Al Ain in American curriculum schools before moving to Dubai in 2022 and teaching in DGPS British curriculum school. She was a member of the high committee for curriculum development for the primary stage in Syria, besides that she used to design educational programmes and bots to train the teachers for the sake of the educational ministry which allowed her to achieve many honours and appreciation certificates during her journey.

Moreover, she is passionate about teaching the foundation stage and teaching Arabic for non-Arabic speakers among the past three years. She also had held creative activities with this stage which had provided to be popular. She enjoys teaching kids and playing them educational songs to support their learning experience in a fun  

She strongly believes that education does not start and end in the classroom, and prides herself on her nurturing element and her ability to form effective and meaningful relationships to get the best out of those around her. She has a passion for not just Science but also Art – having taught this to KS3 at Dove Green Private School, side-by-side with the Sciences throughout 2021. She has held various creative and artistic ECA activities throughout the year which have proved to be popular and enjoys organising and running school trips which further provide enriching experiences for students.

When asked what is the best thing about Dove Green, Miss. Bryant replies:

Without a doubt, it is being part of a wider community of colleagues, students, parents and friends alike which makes teamwork seamless and working so enjoyable.

Fun Fact:

She used to make dubbing plays and series in the Arabic language for a children’s channel and that she used to train more than 300 children for the school theatre in the fields of singing, acting and folk dancing.
